Karen Darke

I believe that life is an exploration.an adventure to be enjoyed and learned from. As a keen runnerand mountaineer, I was paralysed in a rock-climbing accident and despite the challenges of combining wheels with wilderness, I was compelled to continue escaping the world of concrete for the inspiration of the natural environment. Along the way I have hand-cycled across the Central Asian and Himalayan mountain ranges, the length of the Japanese archipelago, kayaked from Canada to Alaska and skied in the Arctic.

Becoming paralysed radically changed my life and was a 'wake-up' call for me, catalysing my interest in human development. I am passionate about people, and the development opportunities which life offers to us. As a qualified positive impact coach, NLP practitioner and complementary therapist and eight years experience with a multinational in a learning and development role, I enjoy inspiring people be all they can be - assisting in unlocking the energy and potential that lies within us all.
