The proof is in the pudding What others say about us matters. There have been reports in various newspapers and magazines including: The Times, Sunday Telegrapgh,Trail, Scotland Outdoors and a feature on radio Scotland's Outdoors programme. But best of all are comments from people who have used our services
Nordic walking"We all enjoyed our introduction to nordic walking and found your style of teaching the various techniques very engaging. There was a good balance between group tuition and individual advice that helped us all to master the methods of using the poles on different types of terrain. Comrie is a wonderful centre from where many interesting walks begin and I'm sure we will want to return again in the future. I hope your new venture succeeds & feel free to quote me in publicity. We will try to spread the word!" Bob "Excellent choice of walk. Younger and older walkers were given equal consideration. " "Enjoyed the tuition and friendliness" "Very professional tuition. The exercises were good –was hardly stiff at all! Would like to have another go." "Great sport for dodgy knees and ankles. Can’t think of any improvements – even the weather was fantastic." Madeleine "Small group, so everyone could receive attention. The introduction to something new, which was explained and demonstrated well. Lovely environment and a walk with marvellous views. " Felicity "The only thing I could imagine (perhaps more for advanced courses) would to be see video feedback of one’s action when Nordic walking. (It’s one thing to be told you’re doing something, but difficult to see it yourself!)". Guided WalkingWhat previous clients have said: "I have just come back from Scotland and wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed it again. We were a very mixed group this year in terms of ability and experience but Fran managed perfectly to both challenge people and enable them to realise that they could do more than they thought they could, whilst never putting pressure on anyone to do more than they felt comfortable with. She is a wonderful guide whose passion for Scotland is tangible and her interest in and knowledge of the area enhances tenfold the whole experience of walking in the wonderful hills. She has certainly made my experience of Scotland very special and I thank her hugely for that. Thank-you so much." Dawn "Just a few lines to say how very much I enjoyed the trip in September. Fran is an excellent guide and knew just how to keep everyone happy." Sonya "We were really impressed with the scenery and the quality of the walking in and around Comrie. It is a hidden gem. Fran really knows the area and shared her love of this beautiful part of Scotalnd with enthusiasm." Clare and Mark Women CAN read maps
I have been on a navigation course before but this just what I needed. It was great fun! Oh and I learned a lot and, my being with a group of new people, picked up lots of little ideas and tips. Thank you again for providing exactly what I needed ( without my even knowing it!) Gillian I thought Fran’s patience and gentleness were what made it such an enjoyable weekend. It wasn’t a competition and all participants needs were met. Louise From my very basic level I picked up lots of skills vital for the activities I want to pursue in my retirement. Fran was brilliant at recognising the needs of each individual and instilling confidence in you. Her tolerance was admirable, her enthusiasm reflected throughout the course. Annie I enjoyed spending time with a group of interesting women whilst walking in stunning countryside. I liked the way Fran explained a lot of things as well as teaching us map reading e.g. farming/game keeping practices, wildlife etc. Liz The course was excellent as we were taught the basics and then the information built up through the weekend. The pace was very good, very relaxing. There was no competitive atmosphere but great attention to details and checking we were understanding the information. Florence Compasses and contoursIt was the excellent and the best such course I have attended for non competitive participation and learning. Fran’s love for the outdoors infuses her focussed commitment to her students. The patient encouragement to learn anew and refresh the known. A small group is value added. Leisurely and unforced but no slack time. Ever the opportunity to learn and digest and practice. Liz I enjoyed the peaceful approach, the choice of walks, the careful attention. It was a great balance between ‘ feet firmly on the ground’ while able to admire the landscape and begin to understand it. This is a great achievement. Florence Women leading
"Thank you - this course came at a difficult time and enabled me to tackle problems in a more constructive way than I have before" "Experiential approach was very good for grounding material" "As a person new to management it was a good insight to different management skills" Team building"Thanks for a useful day. We are still talking about it and have started putting things into practice." National Park Team "It was really interesting to see how we reacted as a team to some of the challenges and to recognise our focus on getting things done and not always taking time to plan it out properly. It made us much more aware of what we each bring to the team."
